Bananas are the spotlight of this week.  These 'Burro' (ABB) bananas and are planted out past "the dike" on a 271 acre farm.  It's the largest planting I've seen and the banana rows seem to stretch farther than the eye can see.  The farmer says these bananas sell for 12 dollars a box and the inflorescence sell for 20 dollars.  Mainly, the inflorescence are sold to Asian and Indian markets and the farmer told us that he'd wish the trees made more inflorescence then fruit.
